VitisGen Trait Evaluation Centers

The VitisGen Phenotyping Centers will lead phenotypic evaluation of powdery mildew resistance, low temperature responses, and negative fruit quality using the populations maintained by the VitisGen Breeding Team. The phenotypic data will be integrated with the genotypic data (see Genotyping Center) to identify marker-trait associations. This combined data will be reported back to the VitisGen Breeding Team to perform plant selection and determine future crosses.
